Absence of peace and harmony in the Valley for the last many days caused immense loss in terms of human beings and property. Disturbed atmosphere gave a grave set back to the tourism and business. Hostile environment and frequent clashes between civilians and police forces exhibit totally disappointing and heart sinking scenario. All efforts so far to normalise the situation haven’t remained much fruitful. In disturbed life conditions, the speed of progress and prosperity gets affected. Not only this, even apprehensions for further disturbances in other areas, also become sharp and it by and large distrubs tranquility and peace of mind in the public. Therefore, need to extinguish the fire of anger among the masses, can’t be over emphasised. In democracy consultations, negotiations and mobilisation of the public opinion in right direction carry vital importance. Only love and sympathy can help at such junctures. It is highly becoming on the wise men of the society and the Govts to evolve a mechanism where by the prevailing situation is brought to an end as early as possible.
