Restaurants can function in Kargil with 50% capacity

KARGIL, Apr 30 : In view of the recent spurt in the number of COVID-19 cases, Chairman District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) and District Magistrate, Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve today issued an order for opening of restaurants and dhabas in the district with 50% capacity.
The order further states that the SOPs and guidelines laid down by the District Administration from time to time in order to contain the spread of COVID-19 will be followed in letter and spirit.
This order will come into force with effect from today.
DM also issued order for penal action against persons providing false information of quarantine address and travel history.
The order states that if any inbound traveler and passenger to district Kargil is found to have provided false information regarding their address and places of home quarantine, contact number , negative RT-PCR report and their travel history at the screening and check posts besides if anyone is found violating the provisions of the regulations and SOPs he or she will be deemed to have committed an offence under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and hence penal action under rules will be initiated against such persons.
