KATRA, Jan 20: The responsible act of Police at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan helped two pilgrims to get back their missing purse and shirt, which were containing thousands of rupees in cash.
The unclaimed purse containing cash of Rs 28900/- was found by Constable Tarsem Lal of Police Station Bhawan during patrolling duty near Bathing Ghat at Bhawan. An announcement in this regard was flashed through JPCR Bhawan following which a pilgrim namely Ram Mane of Kolhapur Maharashtra, appeared before the Police. Accordingly the purse containing cash Rs 28900/- was handed over to him by Inspector Rajesh Sharma, SHO P/S Bhawan, after clarification of the ownership.
Similarly, an unclaimed shirt containing cash of Rs 21000/- was found by Sgct Kuldeep Kumar of Police Station Bhawan during patrolling duty. Following an announcement in this regard, pilgrim Sujeet Pal of Lucknow appeared before Police and reported about the missing of his shirt containing cash, which was handed over to him.
