Resolve issues of daily wagers on strike: Cong

JAMMU, Aug 1: Congress lashed out at the Government for failure to address daily wagers’ issues at the earliest, as the people are suffering due to non-supply of drinking water in several areas especially in the rural and sub-urban areas.
Expressing grave concern over the delay in resolving the issues of PHE daily wagers, as a result the regular water supply is badly affected in most rural areas, JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma has said that Government should shun rigid stand and anti-workers approach and accept their genuine demands.
He said that the BJP- led LG administration is totally in different to the rightful demands of the workers who have been rendering services to the people for long time since years. They deserve regularization in a time bound manner besides regular wages, clearing of backlog wages and hike in wages.
He said that water supply system has nearly collapsed in most parts while Government is least bothered about most genuine demands of daily wagers and the sufferings of general public.
The Government should immediately shun the anti-employees attitude and anti-workers mind-set besides should be concerned about public sufferings.
