JAMMU, Aug 1: A Government teacher has been arrested in Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act case.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a girl with Police Station Gharota stating that a Government teacher identified as Rakesh Kumar (relative of victim), a resident of Padmi Sarote allegedly made physical relations with her without her consent. The alleged accused is posted at Government Middle School Marjali.
Acting over the complaint, a case under POCSO Act and other sections of IPC was registered at Police Station Gharota and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Gharota led by SHO Inspector Rajesh Khajuria arrested the alleged accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
