Residents protest against deplorable condition of road

DODA, June 2: The residents of Parnote area held protest against deplorable condition of the Parnote road near Prem Nagar.
The residents assembled at main road at Parnote and raised slogans against the district administration viz PWD (R&B).
While speaking, the protestors said that they are facing problems due to the dilapidated condition of the Parnote road.
“The road is in worst condition and we many times pleaded authorities for construction of this road, but nothing has been done till date”, said Vimal Singh Manhas, Ex-Sarpanch Panchayat Parnote.
During rainy season, it becomes impossible to travel in the vehicle on this road, they said, adding that even pedestrians have to face lots of problems to walk on this road during rainy season.
Surinder Singh, Lamberdar of Parnote said the road is in the dilapidated condition since long, and no official of PWD (R&B) is paying heed towards this, which has forced them to come on road and held protest.
“If the road is not construction at the earliest, then we will intensify our protest and for untoward incident, the Government will be responsible”, the protestors warned.
Among others present were Sham Singh, Dheeraj, Gurmail Singh, Puran Singh Bhagat, Naseeb Singh Manhas, Mahinder Singh, Manjeet, Rajesh Bhagat, Narinder Singh, Rakesh Kumar and Arjun Singh.
