Residents protest, demand bus services to their areas

UDHAMPUR, July 12: The residents of the Dubi Gali and Pattan Ghar held protest here today and demanded bus services to their respective areas.
Local villagers of Dubi Gali and adjoining area held protest in front of Deputy Commissioner office and demanded permanent bus services from Udhampur to Dubi Gali. The protest was led by Yashpal Singh, Sarpanch Dubi Gali Panchayat and Pardeep Singh Jamwal, State Joint Secretary ABVP.
They said that Dubi Gali is about 60 km far from Udhampur and demanded more buses from Udhampur to Dubi Gali.
Later, the protestors submitted a memorandum to Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, who assured to take up the issue with the concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, the residents of Pattan Ghar held protest infront of ARTO Office Udhampur and also demanded bus services from Udhampur to their native area.
The protest was led by Krishan Singh, who while speaking said that since last six month, there is no bus service from Udhampur to Pattan Ghar due to which the people are facing problems.
The protestors warned to block the road if their demand is not redressed in shortest possible time.
