Degree College for Dinga Amb Tehsil demanded

KATHUA, July 12: The people from Tehsil Dinga Amb in district Kathua have urged upon the Governor’s Administration to establish a Degree College at the tehsil headquarters.
Sarpanch, Seema Gupta from Dinga Amb while chairing the meeting of the people of the area the other day, strongly demanded setting up of Degree College in this tehsil. She pointed out that almost all the tehsils of the State have been given Degree Colleges but Dinga Amb tehsil has been ignored.
She said that people of the area were demanding upgradation of Dinga Amb School since long. The former public representatives only gave assurances but failed to address the burning issue of the people. She said a former MLA from Billawar has projected the demand for Degree College at Sallan, but he did not utter a word for upgradation of Dinga Amb School and setting up of a College there.
Former Sarpanch Kuldip Gupta, Naib Sarpanch Vandana Sharma, Panchs Ravi Abrol, Rakesh Purohit and others urged upon the State Governor, S P Malik to sanction a Degree Colleges, out of the 50 new approved for the State for Dinga Amb tehsil headquarters as the students of over 15 Panchayats of the area including Mangloor, Balote, Raini, Katli, Parangoli, Dabi, Thein, Galak and many adjoining areas are forced to go to Kathua or Hiranagar for higher studies.
