Residents of Jammu West protest against power cuts

JAMMU, June 28: The resident of Jammu West registered their protest under the banner of Jammu West Assembly Movement against power cuts, low voltage and scarce water supply in their area, today.
The protesters, holding with hand fans (pakhies) in their hands shouted slogans against the PDD under the leadership of JWAM president Sunil Dimple along with the traders, local residents to protest the power cuts and irregular water supply in Jammu West.
Dimple said that Omar Abdullah and Congress Party were discriminating the Jammu region under the RADRP scheme.
He flayed Congress Party and its Ministers who are silent over the less number of cities taken up for the up gradation in Jammu region.
Sunil Dimple said Omar Abdullah that our Grid Station of Gladini, Janipur and of other areas are weak so before upgrading the work under ARDRP, the Governmment should first upgrade the Grid Stations also, to support the power supply system of Jammu region.
Sunil Dimple demanded that the Salal Hydral project should be taken back from the Centre and Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan should be scraped to meet the PDD, PHE requirements of the State.
He demanded immediate start of work on Chenab Water Supply Project.
