JAMMU, June 20: Under the banner of ‘All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association Kashmir’, a peaceful protest rally by employees posted in Kashmir continued for the 20th consecutive day at Ambedkar Chowk, Jammu.
The protesting employees raised slogans and urged the administration particularly, Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha to address their 3-points genuine demands apart from those relating to Rajni Bala, a teacher killed by militants and her family, which is a part of memorandum, since the beginning of peaceful protest.
These demands have been raised in the wake of recent target killings, including that of teacher, Rajni Bala of Samba district of Jammu Division, who was serving in Kulgam district of Kashmir Division, consequently these selective and target killings posed various life threats and greater fear and also grave security concerns at every step for the employees serving in Valley.
Boosting the moral of the employees, president, J&K Batwal Welfare Association  Prithi Singh assured full support of over four lakh people of their community in every aspect.
The employees are of the collective view that since the beginning of our appointments in 2006 in Kashmir Division, most of the times we stayed away from fulfilling our family obligation as well as the societal affairs, resulting turning emotionally weak and psychologically drained.
On the top of that it’s becoming much more difficult with the fear of life which we are carrying in f our minds all the times with even a single thought of going back. It is also a matter of right to life with a dignified life. They urged the Lt Governor’s Administration to adjust them in Jammu division.
