JAMMU, July 7: All the Jammu based reserved category employees posted in Kashmir continued their protest dharna on the 37th consecutive day today at Jammu.
Under the banner of All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association Kashmir the employees today again assembled at Ambedkar Chowk Park, Jammu and sat on protest dharna. The protesting employees raised slogans and urged the Lt Governor led Administration to address their 3-point genuine demands including formation of a comprehensive time bound transfer policy, utilization of services of employees in their respective districts and not to pressurize the Jammu based employees to resume their duties under prevailing situation in Kashmir Valley. A large gathering of employees along with their siblings was witnessed at the site.
While addressing the gathering, many speakers expressed their views and requested the administration to resolve the issues and demands of all Jammu based employees posted in Kashmir.
A few days back, a delegation of All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association Kashmir was called on Divisional Commissioner Jammu and he ensured them early redressal of their genuine demands. Even they had also met the Lt Governor, who also gave assurance for resolving the issue. But nothing happened till today.
The Core Committee of All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association Kashmir expressed its gratitude towards the unconditional support by families and siblings of Jammu based employees and advised all the employees to keep patience to bear this hardship and maintain the unity to strengthen the ongoing agitation and take this cause to its logical conclusion.
