Resentment against CAPD for not supplying sugar

JAMMU, Oct 28: There is a brewing public resentment against the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department (CAPD) for not releasing the quota of sugar for the month of October even on the occasion of Diwali.
The people said that it is strange that this time even on the holy festival of Diwali the consumers were denied the quota of sugar. Criticizing the CAPD authorities, the people said that deliberately this time the quota of sugar was not released on the occasion of Diwali when it has been a precedence that every time on occasion of festivals the quota of sugar is released to consumers.
Meanwhile, BJP leaders’ Sukhdev Singh Jamwal and Omi Khajuria in an appeal to the Government have demanded a probe that why the sugar quota was not supplied on the holy festival and the erring officers be taken to task.
