JAMMU, Aug 21: In a significant stride towards advancing renewable energy solutions, Dr B Satya Sekhar, Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu, has begun on a collaborative research endeavor with Prof Jenn-Kun Kuo from the Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Research Laboratory at the Department of Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Engineering, National Sun Yat-sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
This ambitious joint project, titled “Renewable Energy Storage based on Reversible PEM Fuel Cell for Grid Applications,” has garnered approval from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), India, and the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), Taiwan.
The collaborative project, spearheaded by Dr Satya and Prof Jenn-Kun Kuo adopts a comprehensive approach towards developing an efficient renewable energy storage solution founded on the principles of a reversible Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC), tailored specifically for grid applications.
