Jammu, Sept 2: To present demands of old city bazaars, representatives of different business associations called on vice-president, BJP Yudhvir Sethi, here.
The Associations which called on Yudhvir include, Lower Raghunath Bazaar Association, Hari Market Association, New Hari Market Association and Jammu Heritage Society.
While addressing the businessmen, Yudhvir said that old city and its bazaars are part of Heritage of the area and integral part of the tourism also. He said all out efforts are afoot to promote Jammu as an independent tourist destination and flourishing tourism supports economy of the area.
He said the various prestigious projects have been taken up for beautification and development of the city of temples and to give boost to tourism in the area.
The main demands projected by the associations inter-alia include, beautification of the bazaars, installation of Mast lights, CCTV cameras and screen depicting important tourist related information.
Anil Masoom distt. vice president BJP and Viney Gupta distt. general secretary BJP and Prominent members of the Association who were present during the meeting include, Anil Gupta, Ex-vice president Chamber of Commerce, Rajesh Raina President Hari Market Association, Gian Sharma president New Hari Market Association, Bhushan Grover gen secy and joint secretary Ashwani Gupta.
While assuring the Association leaders full hearted support, Yudhvir said that the genuine demands projected by the businessmen would be addressed in a time bound manner.
