Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Aug 1: All India Confederation of SC ST OBC Organisations wrote to Home Minister Amit Shah, LG ladakh Radha Krishna Mathur and LG J&K GC Murmu to apprise them about the plight of general as well as SC, ST and OBC employees posted in Ladakh UT and demanded their repatriation to J&K UT.
RK Kalsotra, President of the Confederation said that the Confederation was receiving requests from the employees who are posted or transferred to UT ladakh to be repatriated as soon as possible. Kalsotra said that these employees are feeling some discrimination there.
He highlighted that there have been instances where the official orders are not followed by the departments due to local political pressure. They are facing issues regarding mobility and accommodation too. Even HOD level officers are denied departmental vehicle facilities.
The harsh conditions of the Ladakh and the climatic conditions are not in favour of those posted there. The administration has also made it tiresome to get medical certificates from the concerned Medical Board even in cases of immediate medical emergencies, Kalsotra added.
He demanded that these employees should be repatriated by the administration as soon as possible and the vacancies can be filled by local officials.
