KISHTWAR, Dec 31: Residents of Hidyal and Wazir Mohalla here today have appealed to the district administration and the Public Works Department to expedite repair of the link road from Hidyal to Gurain via Killa Top.
The road has become a lifeline for locals, especially when the main route remains closed for two weeks during the construction of a drain from Sir Iqbal Academy to Main Bazar Kishtwar.
Randeep Bhandari, a local resident, expressed concern over the road’s poor condition, stating that despite repeated appeals, the department has taken no action.
He also highlighted that landowners have been awaiting compensation for 12 years and urged the DC Kishtwar to look into the matter.
Locals have urged the authorities to address their concerns.
