JAMMU, Feb 26: For renewal of the Mediclaim Insurance Policy for all the Gazetted employees in Jammu and Kashmir, the State Government has issued necessary instructions to the DDOs for deducting the annual premium of Rs 6081 from salaries of the employees for the month of February 2015 and remit the same into the treasuries.
Since the policy is compulsory in nature, it shall be the personal responsibility of the DDOs to register every gazetted employee under the scheme so that no employee is left out, says a Government circular in this regard.
It may be recalled that the Group Mediclaim Insurance Policy was introduced last year for all the Gazetted employees of the State Government for the year 2014-17 on mandatory basis. For the purpose, the Government has tied up with ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Ltd for a period of three years commencing from March 2014 on an annual premium of Rs 6081.
