UDHAMPUR, Apr 21: Christian community members here today celebrated Easter and organised religious processions.
The main procession started from Union Church and after passing through MH Chowk, Town Hall area, Dabbar Chowk, Gole Market, Mukerjee Bazar, Ramnagar Chowk, Hospital Road, Sallaian Talab, Chabutra and Main Bazar culminated again at the Union Church.
Bishop Doctor Santosh Thomas at Union Church delivered a lecture based on the preaching of Jesus Christ.
The Bishop said that we have to strengthen the country by spreading the message of love and brotherhood.
Similar Easter procession was organized in Mageni area of Udhampur where Bishop Ashish Matto delivered the peace lecture among devotees.
All Churches Legal Advisors of District Udhampur—John Wilson, Dimple, Pastor Alishia and Kuldeep Sharma, Sapanch of Magani Panchayat were also present at Easter rally.
