There is urgent need to extend relief to the border migrants who have been forced to leave their homes and hearths in wake of constant heavy firing from across the border. They should be provided cash relief besides extending them medicare. They have been living a miserable life in bunkers.
Though the issue has been raised in the current session of State Assembly, there is apprehension that the issue may not get politicised. The political parties are ready to lap any issue they deem would fetch them votes in the coming elections.
It is quite shocking to see them living a wretched life in bunkers, not knowing when shall a bomb land in their compound. How long shall they live a life like this ?
The State Government must frame a plan for their permanent rehabilitation at a safer place. Till that plan is executed, it must extend them all sort of relief to carry on their day to day work. In case that does not happen, the present conditions may devastate them mentally as well physically.
