MUMBAI, June 26: ADAG Group company, Reliance Power has synchronised the first of the two Units of its 600 mw Butibori Thermal Power Plant, near Nagpur in Maharashtra.
The power generated from the plant, will be mainly distributed to Industrial as well as distribution utilities in Maharashtra.
“Reliance power will continue to create benchmarks and Butibori demonstrates our expertise and experience in building largescale power project”, J P Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Reliance Energy said in a statement.
The first unit of the plant has been synchronized in a record time of just over 21 months while the second 300 MW unit of the plant is also on track for commissioning before the end of this year.
The investment of over Rs 3600 crore in the Butibori plant represents one of the biggest investments made in Maharashtra. (UNI)
