I want to bring to the attention of authorities in School Education Department that the teachers appointed under NPS scheme in various schools in Jammu have not been getting their monthly salary in a regular manner since the month of May, 2019. They didn’t receive their salary for the months of June and July, 2019. Strangely, salary for August 2019 was paid but again no salary was released for September with a little hope for October 2019 and onwards. Even the DA Arrears have not been paid since January 2019.
It becomes very difficult in middle class families to have a smooth life when salary is not being received by the earning member for months together. Particularly, a lot of difficulties are being experienced during the ensuing festival season. Our families are facing problems in meeting routine household expenses and payment of school fees for our children.
It is hoped that the Governor of J&K State and the Advisor School Education will look into our genuine problem and direct the concerned authorities in School Education Department, to release the withheld salaries of NPS teachers at the earliest in order to mitigate their financial difficulties.
