JAMMU, Feb 16: Apni Party Youth general secretary, Abhay Bakaya today urged the Government UT to release the pending salaries of Kashmiri Pandit employees under PM package on the eve of Heerath.
In his statement, Abhay said that Kashmiri Pandit employees have already faced the brunt of harsh situations in the Valley for decades altogether but their welfare has been neglected as a secondary priority.
“The Government should take proper steps for their welfare and immediately release the pending salaries in order to allow them to observe and celebrate Maha Shivratri with zeal and religious fervour along with their families,” Abhay demanded.
He said almost three hundred days have passed since KPs started protests against targeted killings while demanding their relocation in view of the looming threat perception.
“The administration is adamant on rejecting the genuine pleas of PM package employees who are being asked to return to the Valley in this tumultuous situation. If another killing happens who will shoulder the responsibility? The Government is not ready to take the responsibility.
