KISHTWAR, Mar 20: Public Awareness Front (PAF) held a protest demanding release of pending payments of MGNREGA job card holders.
The protesters assembled at BDO office and raised slogans in favour of their demands. The protest was led by PAF President Shakir Saddiqui
While speaking, Saddiqui said that since the MGNREGA had been implemented in this area and no material cost and skill labour has been paid to the common public or MGNREGA card holders.
He further alleged that all plans are prepared in a closed room and the general public is unaware about the schemes.
“Mostly in all the Panchayat of this and other blocks, only influential workers are being paid and poor workers are ignored. If this malpractice will not stop, the PAF will come on streets”, he added.
Among others present were Khalil Farash, Ghula Hussain Munshi, Sanjay Parihar, Mohammad Iqbal Giri, Ishrat Saleem, Yusuf Shah, Mohammad Aslam, Mushtaq Ahmed, Akhter Hussain Giri and Javed Iqbal Giri.
