Release package, reserved category employees’ salaries: BJYM

JAMMU, Nov 6: State Media incharge and Prabhari Kashmir Displaced District (KDD) BJYM, Chetan Wanchoo raised serious concern over the problems being faced by Kashmiri migrants residing at migrant camps at Nagrota and Jagti.
In this context, Wanchoo today visited TRT migrant camp, Nagrota and took stock of the problems being faced by the Kashmiri migrants.
Roop Krishan, president Nagrota TRT apprised the BJYM leader about the problems being faced by them in Nagrota and the Jagti township. He expressed great disappointment that Government was not showing seriousness towards their issues like non-release of salaries of PM package employees, poor health services, lack of sports infrastructure, dilapidated condition of roads, etc. The meeting was organized by Vatsal Bhan, BJYM leader.
The BJYM leader expressed resentment against the administration for not paying due heed to their plight and failing to address the very genuine demands of reserved category employees posted in Kashmir province. He said heads of different departments are repeatedly issuing notices and threatening for action against them if they did not resume their duties in vulnerable areas of Kashmir where they are posted.
Wanchoo said that these employees are not in Jammu for recreation but due to fear in view of threat to their lives in the Valley. He said that it is the duty of the administration to ensure that they do not become easy fodder for the terrorists’ bullets.
He appealed to the Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha to release the salaries of all the reserved category employees at the earliest.
The BJYM leader also expressed concern over lack of basic medical facilities at TRT camp Nagrota due to which the migrants are facing huge problems. He criticized the Health Department for not showing serious concern towards this grave issue despite highlighting the matter on regular basis by the Kashmir migrants residing there.
Wanchoo said that the J&K Sport Council has also miserably failed to create adequate infrastructure in the TRT township which is need of the hour in view of rising drug related activities in every part of the Union Territory.
