JAMMU, Mar 30: State Government Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has urged upon the State Administration to release 12 % DA and also enhance Medical Allowance of the State employees and pensioners.
In a meeting of the Joint Action Committee held here today the senior members Sushil Sudan, Subash Verma and Suresh Sharma strongly criticized the State authorities for not releasing 12 % DA of the State employees which is due from July 2015 and January 2016.
They appealed to the State Governor to resolve the pending issues of the employees without any further delay. Besides 12 % DA and enhancement of Med Allowance to Rs 3000 per mont, the other demands projected during meeting included, sanctioning of dislocation allowance to the employees working in rural areas, removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, regularization of daily wagers/ contractual employees, reorganization and Budgetary support to the PSUs, timely release of salaries/ wages of SSA teachers/ Anganwadi workers and holding of regular DPCs, setting up of committee for implementation of 7th Pay Commission in the State, merger of SFC with the Forest Department, declaration of 5 day week to the employees and negotiation with the female staff of KGBV which is on hunger strike. They lauded the Govt step for introducing Health Insurance Policy.
Prominent among others who attended the meeting included-Yash Pal Mangotra, Mohd Farooq, Maheshwar Sharma, Farooq Mohd, Vinod Sharma, Suman Sharma, Kartar Chand Dubey, Manzoor Ali and Jaswant Singh.
