JAMMU, Sept 8: To mark International Physiotherapy Day, a free Neuropathic Physiotherapy Camp was organized here today by Dr. Nidhi Goel’s Physio Care to spread awareness about the importance of physiotherapy in managing neuropathic pain.
The camp was inaugurated by vice president BJP J&K, Rekha Mahajan who was the chief guest and the camp witnessed enthusiastic participation of people from different age groups.
On this occasion, Inner Wheel New Zen Club members felicitated Rekha Mahajan.
Speaking on the occasion Rekha lauded the initiative, stating: “Physiotherapy plays a vital role in improving the quality of life for patients suffering from neuropathic pain and other chronic conditions.”
The camp provided free assessment, consultation and guidance on various physiotherapy techniques useful in dealing with neuropathic pain, joint stiffness, postural issues and mobility-related problems.
Awareness sessions were also held to educate people about preventive care, exercises and lifestyle changes that can help in long-term management of pain.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nidhi Goel, organizer of the camp said: “Many people silently suffer from neuropathic pain without knowing that physiotherapy can significantly reduce their discomfort and improve their daily life. Through this camp, our aim was to reach out to the community, provide them with free consultation and spread awareness about the role of physiotherapy in holistic health care.”
She assured more such camps in future to ensure wider reach and greater public benefit.
