JAMMU, Jan 10: Rehbar-e-Janglat (ReJ) employees who are sitting on protest dharna outside the office of state unit of BJP for the past many days have appealed the Lt Governor , Manoj Sinha to provide them justice.
These aggrieved employees who are BSc/ MSc Forestry and even some PhD, were engaged under Rehbar-e-Janglat Scheme on the pattern of Rehbar-e-Taleem and Rehbar-e-Zarat. They pointed out that for REZ the minimum qualification is also BSc/MSc Agriculture.
But unfortunately, the people at the helm of affairs in the J&K administration have placed them in the lower pay grade of Rs 5200-20200 with pay grade of 1900 while their counterparts in REZ have been placed in the higher grade of Rs 9300-34800 with pay grade of 4200.
They pointed out that they have submitted several representations to the higher authorities and even struggling since 2017 but this grave discrimination has not be removed by the higher authorities in the Government.
They further pointed out that they were engaged vide Govt order of August in 2014 and for five years they were provided consolidated amount of Rs 5000 per month. They were subsequently enrolled and were asked to provide undertaking that they were not working for any government, semi-government or private organization. They were finally regularized but the pay anomaly existed since then.
They urged the Lt Governor and Chief Secretary of the J&K UT to provide them justice and remove pay anomaly in their grade pay.
