Regularization of contractual teachers

Sir,
It is shortage of teachers which necessitates appointment  of teachers on contractual basis. Obviously, many teachers were appointed when many schools, particularly in rural areas, were suffering heavily and were at the verge of closure. Since their appointments were made after fulfilment of requisite conditions prescribed under rule and the fact that they possess higher qualifications and belong to the areas where the posts are held, their regularisation on ReTs pattern is justified primarily, to remove the sword of uncertainty of their career, and secondly discontinuation, if any, will cause interruption in schools concerned. Undeniably, the services of such teachers, belonging to the areas where posts exist, can be better utilized. Since these teachers have already suffered due to poor recruitment policy of the previous Govt, their case for regularisation as ReTs deserves consideration both on administrative and humanitarian grounds.
