JAMMU, Feb 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Coordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) has urged upon the Govt to regularise KGBV teachers sitting on indefinite dharna outside Press Club at Jammu.
In a meeting of the JKCCTU held here today under the chairmanship of Mohd Maqbool, president of the body, the members expressed serious concern over the issue and said that the demand of the KGBV teachers is highly justified. They said that these teachers are working since long but the Government has adopted a callous attitude towards them.
Mr Maqbool said that out of 800 teachers, about 90 have been regularized on pick and choose basis while most of them have been ignored. He urged upon the State Governor N N Vohra to address the genuine demand of the KGBV teachers.
