Regularise I/C Edu Officers, fill up vacant posts: IHA

JAMMU, June 5: Incharge Headmasters Association (IHA) has urged the Education authorities in J&K to regularize all the I/C Headmasters/ Education Officers without any further delay and also fill up all the vacancies from Class IV to CEO level, lying vacant in various districts in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a state level meeting of the Association held at Udhampur today, wherein many in-service and retired Education officers from Kashmir and Jammu were present, the members sought immediate intervention of the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and the Chief Secretary, AK Mehta to improve crumbling Education system in J&K. They said that School Education system has been left to move on adhocism. Many Incharge Education Officers/ ZEOs/ CEOs/ Headmasters are waiting for their regularisation for the last many years. Many of them have retired on the pay scale of Masters even after working as CEOs or ZEOs/ Headmasters etc.
They pointed out that many posts of Class IV, teachers, Masters, Lecturers, Headmasters/ ZEOs etc are lying vacant in schools and other offices for the last many years. No serious efforts are being made to fill up these posts and improve crumbling structure of education system in the J&K UT. They also pleaded to give practical shape to rationalization process so that shortage of teaching staff, especially in rural area is minimized.
During the meeting/ function held under the chairmanship of MY Zagoo, state coordinator of the Association, the members also felicitated, president Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum, Th Amar Nath on his superannuation recently. Senior members-Abdul Rashid, Parshotam Sharma, GQ Dar, Bupinder Shastri, Rajesh Sharma, KL Dubey and others also spoke on the occasion.
