Refined soya oil futures gain 0.42% on pick-up in spot demand

NEW DELHI, Nov 13:  Refined soya oil prices were higher by 0.42 per cent to Rs 581 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions amid a firm trend at spot market on wedding season demand.
Further, tight supplies in the physical market from producing belts influenced refined soya oil prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November rose by Rs 2.45, or 0.42 per cent, to Rs 581 per 10 kg with an open interest of 24,910 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in December traded higher by Rs 2, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 590.70 per 10 kg in 90,385 lots.
Analysts said apart from firming trend at spot market on pick-up in demand in the spot market supported by wedding season, restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade. (PTI)
