LOS ANGELES, July 5: “Legally Blonde” star Reese Witherspoon has “learned to say sorry” after struggling with it in her younger days.
In an interview with Instyle magazine, the 39-year-old actress said that it was hard for her to accept her mistakes in her younger years.
“I was always pretty outspoken, actually, but now I’ve learned to say sorry when I make mistakes too,” she said.
The “Hot Pursuit” actress said she makes sure to put her point forward if she is proved wrong.
“It’s pretty great right now. I’ve finally got to an age where I’m not afraid to have an opinion. I feel that my perspective matters. It took me a while to figure that out, but I’m there now,” Witherspoon.
The mother of three, who has taken up both acting and production seriously, wants her 15-year-old daughter to see “strong woman playing complicated parts”. The actress is willing to come up with “incredibly strong” female characters.
“I grew up seeing incredibly strong women like Holly Hunter, Sigourney Weaver and Debra Winger. I want to ensure that my 15-year-old daughter, Ava, grows up seeing those types of strong women playing complicated parts,” she said. (PTI)
