JAMMU, Dec 8: PDP candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency Amrik Singh Reen cautioned voters to maintain a distance from some political parties who are known for garnering votes with religious sentiments.
He added that the tall claims of MLA for bringing about the so called development in Gandhi Nagar constituency are clearly visible on seeing the dilapidated streets, filthy roads with heaps of garbage and worn-out PHE pipes in most of the localities in the constituency.
Reen said this while interacting with people during door-to-door campaign in Karan Colony, Belicharana, Bashir Basti and other areas of the constituency.
“Transporters usually complain about the dilapidated roads in Gandhi Nagar localities with huge potholes owing to which their vehicles face damages in the sums of thousands. As far as drainage system is concerned, there is no mechanism to drain out the water logged in rainy seasons due to incessant rainfalls in the constituency for which the ultimate sufferer is general public”, said Reen.
“Illegal capturing of pathways by the transitory population of outsiders has become a nuisance for the general public, crime graphs has shown an upsurge because of no check on the activities of these outsiders but local MLA remained unmoved over their threats looming large over the city population”, he further added.
Reen was accompanied by Harmeet Singh, Varinder Singh Sonu, Madan Chalotra, Advocate Adnan Mali, Tejinder Singh, Parvinder Singh and others.
