JAMMU, July 15: Reecha Gupta, a renowned artist from J&K, has been selected for the award of Union Ministry of Culture, Gove-rnment of India’s prestigious Senior Fellowship in the field of Visual Art (Painting).
This two-year Fellowship for 2015-2016 has been awarded to Reecha Gupta for undertaking research oriented project with Project Synopsis “Practical work in painting with emphasis on study and application of signs and symbols from our local tradition, the images used in various social festivals and other scripts, with a substantial visual import”.
Pertinent to mention that this Senior Fellowships by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is awarded to outstanding persons in the field of culture for undertaking research oriented projects in their respective field.
