Sir,
This is to bring in the notice of the concerned authorities that when price of petroleum products are raised, the transporters raise bus fair proportionately, but when petroleum prices are down, there is no corresponding change in fare. The fare charged by matadors, and particularly by autorikshas is quite high, and beyond the reach of a common man.
The auto drivers hardly use meters. They charge as per their whims and fancies, thereby, flouting rules with impunity. The traffic police or for that matter, district administration seems quite helpless before the driver community.
The pleas of passengers usually fall on deaf years. Will any Government functionary wake up to this challenge ?
Yours etc….
