JAMMU, Nov 2: Shri Ram Sena (SRS) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its State president Rajiv Mahajan and asked State as well as Central Governments to reduce the fares of transport across Jammu and Kashmir after an unprecedented fall in the price of diesel by more than Rs 6 per liter till date by Modi-led Central Government.
Mahajan said that the oil companies have done a great and people-friendly job by slashing the diesel price and now it is up to transporters and Government to come forward for the welfare of people and the justified reason.
He also asked the passengers’ transporters to come forward for this noble cause and reduce fare for the cause of poor public.
He also appealed the Governor to immediately intervene in this matter and save the poor people from the hands of some capitalists.
Among others present were Ajay Gupta, Bal Krishan Arora, Pawan Choudhary, Shiv Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, etc.
