Redress plights of people: BSP to Govt

JAMMU, Feb 3: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has said that the people of the State are facing hardships due to non-availability of basic amenities and asked the Government to redress the plights of the people.
This was stated by BSP State president Tulsi Dass Langeh while addressing public meetings in various villages of tehsil Akhnoor.
During the meeting, the people apprised BSP leaders about the problems being faced by them including dilapidated condition of roads, lanes and drains, acute shortage of drinking water, irregular power supply, etc.
Langeh asked the Government to fulfill the demands of the people especially the residents of Kandi belt including regular power and water supply, construction of roads, lanes and drains, etc.
Among others who spoke were Rattan Kumar Bhagat, State treasurer, BD Thapa, coordinator, Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha, Raj Kumar Bhagat, coordinator, Akhnoor assembly segment, Krishan Pal Bhagat, district vice president and Romesh Kumar, district secretary.
