JAMMU, May 13: A 4-day First Aid Training workshop organized by the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu concluded here today.
The training course was aimed at imparting essential first aid basics to the commercial vehicle drivers, employees of Dabur India Ltd. Bari Brahmana and students from various educational institutions.
Regional Transport Officer, Jammu Ashwani Khajuria interacted with trainers and trainees and appreciated the efforts taken by the society for imparting necessary skill to the people. He also said that it is mandatory for every license holder especially commercial vehicle drivers to be well equipped with first aid training, adding that first aid can mean the difference between life and death.
The First Aid Training was imparted by a team of senior doctors from Swami Vivekanand Hospital, Govt. SMGS Hospital and Medical Officers from Red Cross Dispensary.
