JAMMU, Aug 4: Aam Aadmi Party today termed ‘Hoax’ the claims of Bhartiya Janta Party for recruitment in Jammu and Kashmir stating that instead of new recruitment, the Government is scrapping existing ones and is even peddling lies over development of the industrial sector.
“ On papers, BJP is making claims of massive recruitment in Jammu and Kashmir but these claims are hoax with no ground realities and things are contrary on field,” said Partap Jamwal, senior AAP leader along with others, while addressing a press conference in the party office Jammu.
AAP leader added that what to talk of new recruitment, even the existing ones for which aspirants burnt midnight oil like that of border battalions have been abolished for no reason and aspirants have been left helpless.
He alleged that claims of the Government for recruitment are confined to issuing notification, taking forms, starting the process and then leaving it midway and putting candidates in lurch.
“On one hand aspirants are not getting employment even after start of recruitment process and on the other hand Government is collecting handsome amount from them on the name of recruitment application fee which is evident from the figure that Service Selection Board of Jammu and Kashmir collected over rupees seventy seven crore from aspirants from 2016 to 2018,” said Partap Singh.
He alleged that not only poor show in terms of Government recruitment, the tall claims of Government for self-employment schemes as well as entrepreneurship schemes like Mission Youth were also confined in papers.
“Claims of Industrial boost and development in J&K made by BJP are much far from reality and Government is not even able to share figures of new industrial units established in Jammu and Kashmir as no industrial development and growth has taken place,” he said, adding that the traders were getting burdened more and more with complex taxes and harassment in the hands of tax enforcement agencies.
“BJP made tall promises with traders of Jammu to boost their trade but reality of the time is that the prestigious markets of Jammu City like Kanak Mandi, Raghunath Bazar are losing their glory and Government is unmoved over the plight of traders,” said Partap Jamwal and added that only Aam Aadmi Party can boost the recruitment moves in J&K, growth of industrial sector and giving justice to traders and resorting market areas.
