JAMMU, Mar 18: Registering a record breaking performance, the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has -surpassed last year’s number of policies.
As against 2,14,03,905 policies completed last year as on 31.3.2019, the Corporation has created a new record by completing 2,14,22,370 policies as on 17.3.2020 and is confident of crossing its target of 2.5 crores policies well before 31.3.2020.
Individual New Business performance of the Corporation has shown an impressive growth of 12.85 percent in its First Year Premium Income and 21.84 percent in number of policies as at 29.2.2020.
According to an official handout, the LIC- India’s largest life insurer, continues to better its performance, thereby winning people’s trust by crossing last Financial Year’s number of policies on 17.3.2020 itself, a fortnight ahead of year end and with the most productive period still ahead.
