SRINAGAR: Describing Kashmir as a political problem, former Union Minister and National Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah today said the only dialogue between all the stakeholders, including Pakistan, would help resolve the issue peacefully.
The former Chief Minister also cautioned New Delhi against the alleged excessive use of force and repression against people in the Valley. ”For lasting peace and stability, dialogue process is needed to be initiated forthwith,” Dr Abdullah, who is contesting from Srinagar Parliamentary constituency, said while addressing an election meeting at Budgam this afternoon.
He said the Kashmir issue has been recognised at the international level and therefore, talks should be initiated with Pakistan and the people of Kashmir for judicious solution. (AGENCIES)
