JAMMU, May 4: Reactions from different organizations and individuals conveying their grief and anger over the murder of Sarabjit Singh in Pakistan jail continue to pour in.
Jammu Province People’s Forum has expressed deep sorrow and condolence over the death of Sarabjit Singh and condemned Pakistan for its inhuman act towards Indian prisoners.
Appreciating the Punjab Government’s gesture of declaring Sarabjit Singh as martyr, the JPPF demanded that an equal treatment should be given by the State and Central Government to Chamaiel Singh, who also sacrificed his life for the country.
JPPF also appealed the Central Government to initiate process to liberate Indian prisoners from Pak jails.
Bahujan Samaj Party has also strongly condemned the Pakistan Government holding it responsible for the murder of Sarabjit Singh. A meeting of BSP was held under the chairmanship of State president Tulsi Dass Langeh who demanded that strict action should be taken by India to teach Pakistan a lesson so that such incidents may not occur in future.
Expressing grief over the murder of Sarabjit Singh, Internationalist Democratic Party president I D Khajuria said that such acts were planned conspiracies to sabotage the peace process between India and Pakistan. He also condemned the attack on a Pakistan prisoner at Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu and rued that establishment in the sub-continent was in the mindset of 1947 communal partition allowing exploitation of emotions of people.
