PDP’s concern over non functioning of water coolers

JAMMU, May 4: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) today alleged that the water coolers installed by JMC at various places in the city are non functional.
Most of the drinking water coolers installed by the JMC at various locations in the city are not working for years together, PDP district vice president Vikram Singh told reporters here today.
There are 71 Wards in Jammu and each former corporator had installed two to three water coolers in his or her respective ward but no regular maintenance has been done, he added.
He said a large number of water coolers dispense unclean water thus defeating the very purpose for which these were meant for.
Chaman Angral another PDP leader alleged that they approached the JMC officials many times in the recent past but to no avail as they said that decision in this regard has to be taken by higher officials
Sonu Saini another leader alleged that people of the city are mostly facing problems due to malfunctioning of PDD and PHE departments. He held  Government’s wrong policies responsible for prevailing power and water crisis.,
Mohan Choudhary another Party leader said PDD Ministry is responsible for over four hours cut in city and over eight hour cut in outskirts while it is total failure on the part of PHE to provide regular water supply to Jammu.
The Party leaders demanding proper power supply and clean water supply to people of Jammu. Others present in the press conference included Girish Sharma, Bittu Pradhan and Rinku Pandoh.
