RDD releases Rs 186 cr

SRINAGAR, Aug 24: Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj has released an amount of Rs. 186.9 crore under various schemes thereby releasing the wages of thousands of workers and salaries of MGNREGA employees.
Under MGNREGA, an amount of Rs 103 crore has been disbursed through electronic-Fund Management System (e-FMS) for various components. Through e-FMS, Rs 5517.83 lakh has been released under Wage component, Rs. 2971.14 lakh under Material component and Rs 1811 lakh under Administration component. An amount of Rs 78.37 crore has been disbursed under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin).
Similarly, under Rurban Mission (Gramin), an amount of Rs. 405 lakhs was disbursed. The particular scheme envisages providing urban infrastructure in rural areas preserving the nature and essence of rural community life with urban facilities. Also, the Department disbursed Rs. 165.85 lakh for District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) which is the principal organ at the district level to manage and oversee the implementation of different programmes launched to ameliorate the socio-economic profile of ruralities in the State.
