JAMMU, Oct 26: A delegation of Resident Doctors Association (RDA) today met Government Medical College (GMC) Principal Dr Sunanda Raina to discuss certain issues including removal of 35-year old stipend disparity in State Medical Colleges and SKIMS.
The RDA told the Principal that with removal of disparity, the stipend of Post Graduate (PG) doctors will almost be doubled.
The RDA release said the decision has given new direction to the Department of Health and Medical Education.
The RDA delegation assured their full support to Health and Medical Education Minister Bali Bhagat, Commissioner/ Secretary, Health and Medical Education Pawan Kotwal and Principal GMC Dr Sunanda Raina.
