RD S&LR inspects Moungri revenue records, meets public

UDHAMPUR, May 4: Amit Sharma, Regional Director, Survey and Land Records (Ex-Officio Settlement Officer) Udhampur/Reasi alongwith his team today made an extensive tour of far-situated hilly tehsil Moungri and held a public interaction and inspected revenue records during ongoing Rabi Girdawari in the State.
During the visit, Revenue team from adjoining tehsil of Panchari was also called to attend the revenue meeting. Initially, an interactive session was held at Kaith Gali along with DDC Udhampur Ravinder Kumar who was already on a tour of this area since yesterday and lot of important revenue-related matters were discussed.
Later, after reaching Moungri, a public-interaction session was held wherein people from higher reaches of the tehsil had gathered in large number to discuss their issues. The locals urged for conduct of fresh settlement in few areas, increasing the number of Chowkidars in Revenue villages, provision of State land for building newly-declared Degree College at Moungri, filling-up vacancies to mitigate acute shortage of revenue staff, etc.
Later, a detailed revenue review meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Amit Sharma and it was followed by a random inspection visit to fields wherein Girdawari operations are underway in Moungri tehsil. Several instructions were given for timely completion of Girdawari work, clearance of all pending mutations, quick disposal of pending Revenue Court cases, maintenance of Revenue records and submission of Jamabandies at the earliest, etc.
The meeting was attended by Amit Vermani, Tehsildar Moungri, Narinder Kumar Sharma, Tehsildar Panchari, Jyoti Parkash, NT Moungri, Mohan Sharma, NT Lander (Panchari), Karnail Singh, NT RD, S&LR Office, Narinder Kumar, NT RD, S&LR Office, Gh Mohd, Patwari RD, S&LR Office, Babu Ram, Patwari Moungri/Ladda, Vijay Kumar, Patwari Panjar/Basnote, Kuldeep Singh, Patwari Meer/ Pathi/ Kultyar, Yashpal Singh, Patwari Badhota/ Kotla/ Dandota, Bhagat Singh and others.
Before culmination of tour, Amit Sharma noted various challenges being faced by Revenue staff of this remote tehsil of Moungri, especially due to inadequate number of Revenue officials and assured that the same shall be taken up with Government for their immediate redressal.
