KATHUA, Mar 21: Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Jammu at Basholi organized a Town Hall Event today for entrepreneurs of Basholi area.
The event was presided over by Kamal Prasad Patnaik, Regional Director RBI.
Ajeet Singh, ADC Basholi was guest of honour while Sandeep Mittal, General Manager RBI; Rakesh Kumar, DGM PNB; Sanjeev Sharma DGM JKB and other senior officials from banks attended the event and interacted with entrepreneurs.
Around 100 entrepreneurs/prospective entrepreneurs and local public participated and benefitted from the programme.
At the outset, Patnaik explained that rationale of holding these events is to bridge the information asymmetry among the existing and prospective entrepreneurs so that more and more people can come forward and take advantage of various programmes, schemes and facilities made available for them by the Government of India, RBI, banks and other financial institutions.
He also talked about the untapped potential in MSME sector for employment generation and economic prosperity of the country and exhorted the entrepreneurs to come forward and be partners in economic growth of the country and sought cooperation from all stakeholders in supporting the sector.
Ajeet Singh, ADC Basholi stressed upon the importance of entrepreneurship in the region and encouraged all the entrepreneurs present in the event to participate actively and gain from the programme.
Presentations on MSME sector, overview of PMEGP scheme and other relevant topics like Udyam Registration, CGTMSE etc were made representative from NABARD and LDM Kathua.
On this occasion young entrepreneurs were also given loan sanction letter to establish their business units in Basholi.
