SUNDERBANI, May 29: Seeking immediate supply of seeds of maize, cherry (fodder) of high quality, former MLC, JKPCC senior vice president and chief spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma has said that there are reports of non- availability of seeds and fertilizers in several parts of sub division Sunderbani, Kalakote and Nowshera.
During meeting with the farmers of Sunderbani and Kalakote area he said that Govt must ensure timely availability of seeds and fertilizers in the area and provide adequate quantity of high quality seeds.
Sharma expressed serious concern over the soaring rates of seeds especially fertilizers due to steep hike in the rates by the Government.
Ex-MLC also termed the present Government as anti-farmer as all agricultural appliances are being taxed @18 percent GST besides multifold hike in the rates of fertilizers and seeds.
He said Congress would remove all taxes on the farmers besides giving MSP to them, on coming to power.
