JAMMU, Nov 29: Jammu & Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president, Ravinder Raina along with Deputy Mayor, Baldev Billawaria today released Dogri Beat song ‘Nuh Chaie Di’ in a function held at Press Club here.
On the occasion, Zorawar Singh, president Team Jammu , Sunil Bandral, Meenu Mahajan and Urja Singh, chairperson ‘The Performers’ NGO were present.
The song ‘Nuh Chaie Di’ has been sung by singer Sham Sajan and was produced by Urja Singh. The music was given by Musical Mafia and directed by Aaditya Bhanu.
While congratulating artists for making musical album in Dogri, Ravinder Raina said that they deserve full appreciation for becoming a torch bearer to promote and preserve Dogra culture by focussing on Dogri language. He said that he expected the younger generation should follow the suit by coming forward to disseminate the richness of Dogra culture not only in Jammu but across the nation and abroad to make the people aware about the niceties of this old yet rich heritage through their performance in various fields including theatre, folk lore and folk music, Dogri songs, literature, etc.
Baldev Billawaria lauded the efforts of the young talent from the UT of J & K. He said that new opportunities are being opened up everywhere today for the innovative minds. He said that Jammu and Kashmir has the vast and rich cultural heritage and these devotees of fine arts ensure that the mind of our resourceful youth is directed towards building their careers by nurturing their skills with positive mindset.
Zorawar Singh said “We as a society must make endeavour to support and nurture of young talent which will bring laurels to whole Jammu & Kashmir”. He said that there is dire need to encourage local artists who can preserve and promote the rich folk-lore of this region which forms essential part of the cultural heritage that needs to be conveyed to the future generations.
Urja Singh, chairperson of ‘The Performers’ NGO, said that today we fulfil our commitment with the release of this album. She mentioned that during Covid pandemic our NGO has promised with the youth of Jammu for providing a platform so that they didn’t move towards drug related activities when the country passing through the crucial phase of lockdown.
