JAMMU, Mar 13: BJP State president, Ravinder Raina today said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has emerged tallest leader of 21st century and people of entire country want him to lead the next BJP Government at Centre again.
Raina was addressing party workers here, today after performing a Havan to set the campaign for Parliamentary elections in motion for Kathua, Doda and Udhampur Lok Sabha Constituency here, today.
Raina said the people of entire nation are solidly behind Modi to make his dream of new India a success for the realisation of which he had launched many welfare projects and schemes during his last five years of rule. He, while highlighting the various welfare projects and schemes launched by Modi Government for the J&K State expressed the hope that the people of the State will also give full support to BJP and Modi in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections to endorse his public welfare schemes and policies.
BJP State chief also gave a full credit to Union Minister in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh who is also the MP from Kathua, Udhampur and Doda Parliamentary Constituency for taking keen interest in bringing various projects for the State and granting four percent reservation to IB denizens at par with LoC thereby ending over 50 year long discrimination with these hapless people of Jammu region. He said signing of Shahpur –Kandi project to end over 40 year long deadlock has been another great achievement of BJP and Dr Jitendra Singh deserves credit for the same also. Besides, sanctioning of Ujh Multipurpose Project construction of about eight new bridges, Biotech Park, AIIMS, Devika conservation project, bunkers along IB, construction of toilets, three medical colleges, engineering college at Kathua, IIT, IIM, Jammu ring road, doubling of honorarium to VDCs, grant of relief to Jammu migrants at par with Kashmiri migrants, starting work on four lanning of Akhnoor road and Pargwal bridge etc are the outcome of the efforts of Dr Jitendra Singh and other two MPs, Jugal Kishore Sharma and Shamsher Singh Manhas.
Raina accused the Congress and NC leadership who ruled the State for decades together for discriminating with Jammu region. He also termed grant of Divisional status to Ladakh region a great milestone of Modi Government and expressed the hope that people of the State will back the BJP candidates and ensure their victory by highest margin than 2014 elections.
Earlier Raina and Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh, BJP State general secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, along with party leaders and activists performed havan prior to make Central Office for Lok Sabha election functional.
Ravinder Raina, on the occasion, said that it is a tradition in the organisation to perform havan before taking up any new assignment and that now onward this place would serve as BJP Central Election Office for Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Constituency.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, while addressing the large gathering of party activists, said that it was indeed a matter of pride for him to serve as a Minister with PM Narendra Modi, who worked 18 hours a day, without taking a single day leave to fulfil his poll promises of making India corruption free, end dynastic rule and provide good governance.
”Inspired by PM’s working, from the day first of being elected as MP to the last day before Code of Conduct, numerous new projects have been sanctioned and most of them completed in Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Parliamentary Constituency during my five years term”, Dr. Jitendra said and informed that on the March 8, the last working day before imposition of Model Code of Conduct, approval for eight mobile towers on IB would be an advantage to the border people.
He said that after every nine kilometers, monuments of development themselves prove that it was a revolutionary era under PM Modi and that what could not be done in 65 years, was completed within short period of five years.
